SEO/SEM Specialist
Overview
The SEO/SEM Specialist will manage and execute search strategies for clients across a variety of industries, using both paid search and organic tactics. The specialist will devise content strategies, research and test keywords, manage Pay-Per-Click campaigns, analyze click-through data, and identify synergies between SEO and SEM to inform both strategies.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze company and clients’ sites for areas of improvement
- Develop keyword and contextual search strategies
- Manage pay-per-click campaigns
- Write effective headlines, copy, and websites
- Develop relationships with industry publications and bloggers
- Understand use of landing pages and how to write effective call-to-actions
- Work with analytics team to strategize on ways to improve and track site performance
- Stay up to date with SEO blogs and best practices, using resources like SEOMoz and Google Webmaster tools
- Manage outreach and link-building efforts to drive visibility within search engines
- Take key concepts and extrapolate to metrics and reporting
- Work within cross-functional teams and integrate SEM campaigns and SEO approach within all applicable client online media campaigns
- Manage campaign budgets and forecasts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Has a strong understanding of inbound marketing fundamentals: SEO/outreach, content marketing, analytics, social media, and community building
- Proficiency with Analytics and PPC platforms (AdWords, Bing, FBX)
- Must be familiar with all tactical facets of marketing: e-newsletter, traditional publications, SEO, SEM, social media, webinars, and digital media buys
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite, including Excel, Google Docs, etc.
